Description
Priority is given to young people, training and sustainable development (economic, social and environmental), to the training and enhancement of human capital, in particular young people and women, to the strengthening of common cultural roots, to the organisation of activities linked to the shared identity heritage in the Euregio territories. to the strengthening of communication and dissemination initiatives with events and manifestations in the 3 territories also with the active involvement of citizens.
Young people and training
The aim is to address the issue of the transition from school to work, considering that we are witnessing a slowdown in the entry and retention of young people in the world of work, a failure to match the skills acquired during school and training with those required in the world of work, as well as an increase in difficult situations, aggravated by the pandemic, during (drop-outs, shortages) and after (unemployment, NEET) the school and training experience. The aim is to promote and disseminate tools and opportunities in the Euregio territories for the employability of young people, also from a cross-border point of view, and to support lifelong guidance. In order to do so, after a listening phase to the interested users, it is intended to use tools for an integrated system of interventions to support school-to-work transitions, such as the enhancement of the continuous guidance offer in the territories, in order to increase the participation in the continuous training system of young people.
Also for young people, it is intended to develop basic musical training and support citizenship education, bringing the school world closer to the Euregio (e.g. by developing content for distance learning and videos for schools in a multidisciplinary key).
Culture and history
Among the projects in the pipeline are the Digital History Atlas, which aims to create a sort of digital museum of the Euregio's history and culture, the activation of the Euregio Festival of Culture and History every two years, and a research project on European integration and cross-border policies of the three territories.
Equal opportunities
Taking note of the fact that the economic pandemic and crisis have led and are still leading to serious repercussions in terms of work, especially for women, the Trentino Euregio Presidency intends to tackle the challenges, opportunities and needs for economic growth and territorial development from an equal opportunities perspective. Therefore, the aim is to activate a working group that - in rotation in the three territories and with a focus to be defined - will identify and promote opportunities and tools for training, networking and enhancement of entrepreneurship and innovation for women.
