Description

The rationalisation of business controls is confirmed as a constant need felt by the economic system.

Among the activities carried out by the public administration, inspections, understood both as direct inspections and as checks on the files submitted, are among the most impactful, both internally for the public offices involved but also and above all externally for businesses and for the economic and social environment as a whole.

There are some structural nodes, such as the lack of coordination and sharing of information that goes hand in hand with different types of controls carried out in parallel; furthermore, there is a very limited application of the principle of proportionality and focus on risk in carrying out the verifications, which are pervasive and weigh down the procedures.

The project has several lines of action, implemented in synergy with important national and international partners such as the OECD - Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and UNI - Italian National Standards Organisation:

  • Intelligent" use of data: interoperability and exchange of information; integration of outcome information to reduce overlaps, duplications and redundancies in controls
  • Adequacy of controls: Introduction and development of a risk-based and proportional approach to controls
  • Quality promotion: Recognition and promotion of compliance, best practicesand application of virtuous models
