Description
The Agency's main task is to manage and disburse Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) subsidies, by authorising and executing payments, accounting for expenditure, checking the regularity of disbursements, reporting to the competent authorities (such as AGEA and the European Commission) and recovering unduly received subsidies.
The financial instruments of the CAP are the EAFRD and EAGF funds. The EAFRD supports rural development, agricultural competitiveness, the environment and quality of life in rural areas while the EAGF finances direct payments and agricultural market measures.
