Provincial nature reserve

Together with the 'Taio' nature reserve near Nomi, 'Palù di Borghetto' constitutes the last surviving trace of the primitive landscape of the Adige Valley, once characterised by the presence of numerous wetlands, such as swamps, ponds, river oxbows, riparian and marshy woods.

The Reserve is also a Special Area of Conservation and Special Protection Area.
