Description
The planned activities include training sessions dedicated to the biology of the wolf, its behaviour and the most effective strategies to prevent predation, such as the use of electrified fences or other deterrent tools. A fundamental part of the project will be dialogue spaces, designed to encourage the exchange of experiences and the sharing of good practices, difficulties and concrete solutions, with the support of expert consultants. The project also includes an experimental phase, during which prevention measures will be field-tested in selected realities, their effectiveness monitored and their results publicly discussed with the community.
During the summer period, the project will provide advice from a specialist in damage prevention in livestock farming. The whole project aims to strengthen the local social fabric and build a solid base of knowledge, tools and relationships useful to face the challenges of coexistence with the wolf in an informed, collaborative and pragmatic way.
