Permitted activities

Limits and prohibitions

• Use for grazing of areas outside wetlands for conservation, environmental restoration and public enjoyment, according to an interdisciplinary plan approved by the provincial service responsible for protected areas.
• Use of organic fertilisers and, for inorganic fertilisers, priority to phosphorites, ammonium nitrate and potassium chloride; complete elimination of soil disinfestations.
• Treatments with chlorophacinone-based products for rodenticides, minimising drift with spears and appropriate equipment.

• Modifying or altering the elements of the Provincial Nature Reserve.
• Depositing waste or materials, excavating, changing cultivation, reclaiming or draining soil.
• Cultivate quarries and peat bogs.
• Introduce, remove or damage mushrooms, except for scientific or conservation reasons with prior authorisation.
• Killing, disturbing, releasing or taking animal species, except for specific reasons.
• Introduce waste water or water that alters the characteristics of the Provincial Nature Reserve.
• Using pesticides, herbicides, mineral or organic fertilisers that cause eutrophication or permanently alter the biochemical characteristics of the water.
• Crossing the area with overhead power lines or telephone lines.
• Overflying at low altitude with planes or helicopters.
• Making sounds, lights, disturbing noises and driving recreational vehicles.
• Bathing and use of watercraft.
• Camping, lighting fires, letting dogs or other domestic animals roam.
• Entering the protected area off marked trails, except for owners/tenants or for scientific/surveillance/management activities.
• Use of desiccants and simazine and atrazine products (only non-residual products tolerated).
• Use of organic and inorganic fertilisers heavily polluted with heavy metals.
• Use of captan and vinclozolin products.
