Permitted activities

Limits and prohibitions

• The continuation of agricultural activity on the areas cultivated when the Provincial Nature Reserve was established, using traditional methods or compatible modern cultivation techniques. The introduction of agricultural crops alien to the traditional context (e.g. intensive planting of minor crops and vegetables) is subject to the prior and binding opinion of the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Restructuring of tool shelters on agricultural land.
• Access to cultivated land, also with motor vehicles, by the owner, tenant or possessor.
• Exercise of silviculture according to the forest management plan or prescriptions of the provincial service responsible for protected areas.
• Circulation of motor vehicles for forest use activities.
• Interventions for the maintenance of plants or infrastructures of public interest, subject to the opinion of the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Interventions necessary for conservation, bio-ecological re-balancing, cultural fruition and scientific research, by or on behalf of the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Construction and operation of the section of cycle/pedestrian path marginally affecting the territory of the provincial nature reserve, according to the project "Works for the construction of a new cycle/pedestrian path between Lizzana, Marco and the industrial area in the Municipality of Rovereto (TN)", subject to the observance of prescriptions and authorisations.

• Modify or alter in any way the elements that make up the Provincial Nature Reserve.
• Erect buildings or artefacts of any type or material, even if temporary.
• Enter the protected area with any type of mechanical or animal means of transport, with the exception of access to cultivated land by owners, tenants or possessors.
• Deposit waste or materials of any kind, carry out excavations, changes of cultivation, reclamation works or land draining.
• Cultivating quarries and peat bogs.
• Placing, removing or damaging plants or parts thereof of any species; collecting or damaging mushrooms or other undergrowth products.
• Engaging in hunting and fishing; releasing, taking or disturbing any animal species; letting dogs or other domestic animals roam
• Draining or dumping water or sewage.
• Carry out agricultural tillage of forest, grassland and uncultivated areas.
• Using pesticides of any kind or poisoned bait for purposes outside the permitted activities.
• Use mulching with man-made materials.
• Crossing the area with new power lines, telephone lines or other overhead or underground conduits.
• Abandoning paths and wandering in the Provincial Nature Reserve outside them (except for owners/tenants)
• Flying at low altitude and landing aircraft.
• Camping, lighting fires, causing disturbing lights, sounds and noises
• Carrying out competitive or folkloric activities (other organised events require authorisation).
• Set up any kind of fence.
• Remove or damage the Provincial Nature Reserve identification and boundary signs.
