Permitted activities

Limits and prohibitions

• The continuation of agricultural activity on the areas currently cultivated, using traditional methods or modern cultivation techniques compatible with the natural and landscape characteristics of the Provincial Nature Reserve.
• Access to cultivated land, even with motor vehicles, by the owner, tenant or possessor, except for particular prescriptions of time and place for the protection of rare species in reproduction.
• Exercise of silviculture on the basis of the Forest Management Plan or a Forest Management Plan prepared by the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas; failing this, individual cuts must be authorised by said Service.
• Circulation of motor vehicles for forest use activities, except for particular prescriptions of time and place for the protection of rare species in reproduction.
• Construction of public infrastructures for which there is no alternative location, subject to the binding opinion of the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Carrying out activities necessary for the cultural and scientific enjoyment of the Provincial Nature Reserve, its protection, conservation, renaturalisation, bio-ecological and environmental improvement of the territory, on the basis of an enhancement plan and subject to authorisation by the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.

• Modify or alter in any way the elements that make up the Provincial Nature Reserve.
• Deposit waste or materials of any kind and carry out excavations, changes of cultivation, land reclamation or drainage works.
• Cultivating quarries and peat bogs and withdrawing by right any authorisations already granted for this purpose.
• Activities liable to trigger or cause processes of disturbance or modification of existing ecological values.
• Introducing agricultural crops alien to the traditional production context.
• Clearing forest, grassland or uncultivated areas.
• Introducing, removing or damaging flora and fungi of any species, except for scientific and conservation reasons of the Provincial Nature Reserve and subject to authorisation by the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Using pesticides and herbicides of any toxicity class, except for interventions aimed at protecting public health.
• Hunting and taking or disturbing any animal species, except for scientific and conservation reasons of the Provincial Nature Reserve and with prior authorisation from the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Grazing outside the peat bog.
• Pumping sewage or water that may in any case alter the special characteristics of the Provincial Nature Reserve.
• Erecting constructions or artefacts of any type or material, even if temporary.
• Remove or damage the Provincial Nature Reserve identification and boundary signs.
• Crossing the area with new electricity and telephone lines.
• Fly over the Provincial Nature Reserve at low altitude with planes or helicopters.
• Disturbing noises, sounds and lights and circulating with vehicles of any kind.
• Camping, lighting fires, letting dogs or other domestic animals roam.
• Entering the protected area outside the marked paths, with the exception of the owner, usufructuary, tenant or possessor in another capacity and other persons carrying out scientific, surveillance and management activities.
• Carry out any type of fencing except those previously authorised by the provincial service responsible for protected areas.
• Carry out recreational and/or sports activities, unless expressly exempted by the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
