Description
The Environmental Monitoring Plan for the 2021–2027 ERDF Programme of the Autonomous Province of Trento, an integral part of the Strategic Environmental Assessment procedure and adopted by Decision No. 2459 of the Head of the ‘Semplice Europa’ Task Force dated 13 March 2024, and subsequently updated by Decision No. 10661 of 29 September 2026, sets out the activities aimed at monitoring the environmental effects arising from the implementation of projects funded under the 2021–2027 ERDF Programme, so as to promptly identify any unforeseen negative impacts.
The aforementioned Environmental Monitoring Plan stipulates that the Managing Authority for the 2021–2027 ERDF Programme shall draw up annual environmental monitoring reports, setting out the most recent available figures in relation to the specific environmental monitoring indicators for the 2021 – 2027 Programme, categorised as follows:
- Context indicators, relating to the main areas and components of the provincial environmental context. These are predominantly statistical in nature and are collected at varying intervals, sometimes spanning several years, depending on the specific data sources available;
- Output indicators, relating to the direct implementation of interventions funded through the 2021–2027 ERDF Programme, which are updated annually based on the progress of the type of intervention to which they refer.
Each annual environmental monitoring report comprises a descriptive section and a more specific section quantifying the aforementioned context and output indicators, using detailed illustrative tables.
