Description
The provincial territory is organised into eleven* territorial ambits in which as many tourism boards (APT) operate. The APTs are responsible for tourism marketing in the area and, taking into account the peculiarities of the territory, they are in charge of the quality of the tourist experience and the hospitality and loyalty of tourists in their respective territorial areas.
Among the activities of general interest carried out by the APT are, for example
- information, assistance and tourist reception services, as well as activities for the enjoyment of tourist products;
- entertainment, with the organisation of shows and events;
- the development of tourist products;
- the implementation, at local level, of provincial-level projects and system tools as well as products developed by the area's territorial agencies;
- the valorisation of local productions and experiences;
- the support of initiatives to favour activities with a low environmental impact;
- support for tourism operators in the area;
- marketing activities, with reference to proximity or prevalent markets.
Legal form: private companies with a minority public financing component.
