Three days to talk about Europe at a time of extreme importance for the future of the Union.
There are so many events inside and outside the Member States that make these months crucial for the Europe to come, and the third edition of 'We are Europe', back in its original location in Piazza Fiera, wants to communicate to the citizens, or rather talk TO the citizens about some of the topics of European interest.
And 'communicating Europe' was the aim of Antonio Megalizzi, who in fact said 'I pursue my passions: journalism and Europe. I would like young people like me to understand this. Never before has a united Europe been so crucial and never before have we been so close to destroying it'. 'We are Europe' intends to remember the figure of Antonio, but not so much by looking backwards, rather with a forward-looking, proactive look at what can and must be done for the Europe of the future.
If we don't want to destroy our planet as well, we have to get busy, right away, in the environmental field, and 'green' issues are another leitmotif of this year's festival, recurring in several of the scheduled meetings. Antonio Megalizzi was an enthusiastic young man and young people are the focus of some of the specific events of 'We are Europe', indeed in some of them they are the protagonists.
And particularly for young people there is evening entertainment provided by the radio stations with which Antonio collaborated. And then culture, relations with the rest of the world, IT security, immigration, social security, entry and exit from the EU, the possibility of a common army, federalism, energy, agri-foodstuffs, the east and west of Europe from a ... sporting point of view, to close with the award ceremony for the European project carried out in Trentino that citizens like best. There are plenty of topics of interest for a visit to Piazza Fiera. We look forward to seeing you!
