Description
"We are Europe", first as a Festival, and from this year as "European Week", is proposed to citizens for the sixth consecutive year.
The aim of the event and of UMSE Europe, with its two Europe Direct Trentino - CDE Trento Information Centres, which coordinate its organisation, is to bring citizens closer to the European Union and its policies.
The event is based on a consolidated partnership made up of the PAT Youth Policy Office, the Municipality of Trento with Civico 13, the University of Trento with the School of International Studies and the De Gasperi, Megalizzi, Museo Storico del Trentino and Campana dei Caduti Foundations.

What is the European Solidarity Corps? How does one get involved? What does one learn through this experience proposed by the European Union? This will be discussed with young international volunteers who participate in the ESC and are placed in organisations active in the province.

Protagonists of the evening, in addition to the wines, will be Tommaso Iori, who will lead the journey through the Europe of wine, Federica Chiusole, who will accompany him with a reading taken from the installation Il filo della scelta (The thread of choice), presenting portraits of some of Europe's fathers and mothers, and Jacopo Giacomoni, who will accompany them with the notes of his sax.

The tour includes an immersion in Trento's European history, of which De Gasperi is not the initiator, but rather the heir. We will visit the German quarter of the Trento of the Council, the denial of the city's European vocation in the nationalist and fascist Trento, the return to the past in the gaze of the resistant and pro-European Trento, until we reach a shining testimony of Trento open to the world and to the future, represented by the University and the path of Antonio Megalizzi.

EXHIBITIONS
From8 to 28 May at Palazzo Trentini, seat of the Provincial Council, in Via Manci, the interactive exhibition "Italy in Europe. Europe in Italy" promoted by the Council of Ministers - Department for European Policies in collaboration with Ansa.
The multimedia photo exhibition was created in 2017, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome. and is divided into periods of 10 years. It portrays the highlights of European integration from the Cold War to the present day, focusing both on world events and on the events of customs and society that have characterised these decades of history.
From8 to 13 May, the exhibition "The Thread of Choice" will be open to the public in the courtyard of Palazzo Thun, seat of the Trento City Council, in via Belenzani.
The same thread binds the lives and choices of those who helped build Europe. Alcide De Gasperi, Konrad Adenauer, Robert Schuman, Altiero Spinelli, Vaclav Havel, Simone Jacob Veil, Louise Weiss, Ursula Hirschmann, Giannantonio Manci, Sophie Scholl, Bronislaw Geremek and Éliane Vogel-Polsky: theirs is a living, concrete, present Europe. Which interrogates and involves us, reminding us that individual choices, whether big or small, are the soul of every great collective project. "The thread of choice", an unprecedented "travelling" installation realised by the Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino and the Fondazione Trentina Alcide De Gasperi, takes up this legacy and proposes that we make it our own by meeting the testimonies of these fathers and mothers of the European Union who tell their stories, without rhetoric, sharing with us their dreams, their struggles and their choices.
