The event is reserved for high school students (by invitation only: max 90 participants).
Title: How can we be greener, more sustainable and make a difference?
Date: 17 October 2022, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Where: Trento, in presence at the Sala di Rappresentanza of the Region
Theme: Sustainability translated into concrete everyday actions
Structure of the event
- three speakers: Roberto Barbiero, Chiara Lo Cicero and Lucia Cuffaro;
- three speeches on European themes related to environmental sustainability (20 minutes) for high school students (climate change; circular economy and consumers; self-production: the recipe for health and eco-living)
- three working groups: students will discuss the assigned topic in order to develop a proposal on how to be concretely greener, more sustainable and make a difference;
- return of the proposals in plenary (to be considered for recording an audio-message for inclusion on the European Youth Year platform).
The final objective is to make young people aware of the importance of the environment, what the European Union is doing for the environment, the 2030 Agenda and what we can do ourselves to safeguard it, through:
1) a participatory space for active debate and reflection on topical issues in order to feel like sustainable young European citizens (2022 is the European Year of Youth) and generate a domino effect of good practices;
2) the deepening of the themes of the event with a public give-back and/or the recording of a short audio message to be posted on the European platform of the European Year of Youth.
Event by invitation only.
