Description
The guiding thread of the exhibition are the principles of Salutogenesis, a theory developed in the 1970s by sociologist and physician Aaron Antonovsky and aimed at finding the factors that promote health, through the discovery and utilisation of the sources of wellbeing that each of us has within ourselves. Health is created from the lifestyles we adopt, the people we meet, and the many activities we undertake.
In this it is essential to promote all those strategies that can further improve wellbeing and health, from diet to physical activity, from understanding emotions to the therapeutic use of art and colours, and so on. And to learn the rules that allow us to preserve our physical and psychological well-being, because health is built up continuously from when we are born to when we grow old.
And so the panels of the exhibition become hints for embarking on a personal journey of improvement; useful indications on the correct lifestyle and the many qualities and properties of vegetables (and some cereals) grown in mountain gardens.
The hope is that the information contained in the panels of the exhibition can be small seeds to be plucked and tended, so that they can happily germinate in us.
Along the exhibition route, there are fun stations for the little ones with games and quizzes.
Opening hours: 9-12 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.
