"For every language that dies out, an image of man disappears".
These are very significant words by the Mexican poet Octavio Paz, which alone would be sufficient to renew the Autonomous Province of Trento's commitment to the protection and promotion of the historical minority languages of our land, which also rests on the precise statutory foundations of our Autonomy.
"Cimbro, Ladino and Mòcheno: three languages to save. The projects for the protection and promotion of Trentino's historical linguistic communities" is the theme proposed for the new appointment in the cycle of meetings "Dialogues with Minorities" to be held on Thursday 20 April at 11 a.m. in Trento in the Sala Belli of the Palazzo della Provincia, Piazza Dante 15.

Mauro Buffa, Direttore dell’Istituto Mòcheno / Bersntoler Kulturinstitut, la dott.ssa Daniela Fruet, Headmaster of the Istituto Comprensivo Pergine 1, dott.ssa Cristiana Ploner, referent of the Polo mòcheno for the Istituto Comprensivo Pergine 1, dott. Fiorenzo Nicolussi Castellan, cultural collaborator of the Istituto Cimbro / Kulturinstitut Lusérn and dott.ssa Roberta Bisoffi, Headmaster of the Istituto Comprensivo Folgaria Lavarone Luserna. In their discussion they will be accompanied by the Head of the Local Language Minorities and European Audit Service, Dr. Giuliana Cristoforetti.
