UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites
In 2009, UNESCO listed the Dolomites as a World Natural Heritage Site. It is a complex property both geographically and administratively, consisting of nine systems and extending over 142,000 hectares in five provinces and three regions. In 2010, in agreement with UNESCO, the Foundation was established, whose task is to guarantee an effective management of the serial property, to foster its sustainable development and to promote collaboration between the territorial authorities that administer their territory according to different regulations.
