The subdivision into cadastral municipalities, for geographical and census reasons, was introduced at the time of the establishment of the Habsburg Cadastre, and has undergone only slight variations over the years.
The competence for administrative delegation lies with the Autonomous Province of Trento.
Data contained:
- CC code: unique progressive number identifying the Cadastral Municipality
- Cadastral municipality: name of the cadastral municipality
- Administrative Municipality: Name of the administrative Municipality to which the Cadastral Municipality belongs
- District: competent administrative office
- Opening LF: date of Land Register opening
- Computerization LF: date of conclusion of the Land Register computerization operations
- Reinstatements pursuant to R.L. 3/85 and subsequent amendments: indication of any restoration of the Land Register pursuant to R.L. 6/1985 and subsequent amendments
- Restoration in conservation since: indication of the date of entry into conservation of the cartographic restoration works carried out within the cadastral municipality
- New surveys L.R. 6/90 in conservation since: shows the date of entry into conservation of new surveys carried out within the cadastral municipality

In addition to the table of cadastral municipalities , it is possible to obtain the geographical data of the cadastral municipalities by accessing the Geocatalogue of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
