Tourist Cycle Routes

The two projects are part of the larger work of strategic importance to complete the Garda Cycle Route promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento, Veneto Region and Lombardy Region.
The PNRR funding specifically envisages the construction of two sections of the cycle route

• stretch from Torbole to Riva del Garda (UF 18); there is currently a shared connection with motor vehicles, which is not adequate for current flows
• stretch from Torbole to Nago (UF 19); there is currently a shared connection with motor vehicles, which has steep slopes and traffic lights. This route for bicycles and pedestrians will allow the Adige Valley cycle path to merge with the Ciclovia dei Laghi.

Promote the development of more sustainable local transport, facilitate the growth of the cycling sector and promote cycle tourism.

Contribute to the national target for the realisation of at least 746 km of cycle tourism routes by June 2026.

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.
