General information
In a context of high youth unemployment rates and depopulation in rural areas, entrepreneurship becomes a key element to build Europe's future and a tool to find alternative ways to address labour market challenges. Building local ecosystems focused on fostering youth entrepreneurship, with a global perspective, can help address these challenges, with teachers and youth policy practitioners as key factors in promoting innovative entrepreneurial models in a lifelong learning context.
Cooperation between all actors (authorities, enterprises, NGOs and schools), with a special focus on teachers and youth workers, is crucial to achieve the project's results, which are, in addition to the active involvement of young people in local ecosystems: a collection of good practices on youth entrepreneurship, drafting guidelines for the creation of regional/local ecosystems to promote youth entrepreneurship in rural areas and training for stakeholders to build such ecosystems. The latter will be implemented through two international pilot training courses to develop capacity building in local rural settings and promote non-formal and informal learning methods.
Goals
YESpecialists was created with the aim of creating strong regional/local ecosystems capable of fostering the development of youth entrepreneurship in rural areas, including by introducing informal and non-formal education methods into formal education systems and promoting innovative concepts of entrepreneurship through a bottom-up approach with the direct involvement of young people, with a focus on young people from vulnerable groups.
