Training courses on hospital infections

Scientific progress and technological innovation require that healthcare workers are regularly updated and trained to ensure the effectiveness, adequacy, safety and efficiency of the care provided by the National Health System (NHS). This need was also evident during the pandemic crisis. In this context, the investment aims to introduce an extraordinary training plan on hospital infections.

The objective of the investment is to develop professional skills through a training plan on hospital infections for health system personnel.

Provincialtarget: 3,120 employees trained

The Autonomous Province of Trento avails itself of theAzienda Provinciale per i Servizi Sanitari (APSS) as the delegated implementing body.

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

PNRR funding: € 851,131.91

In 2023, the health authority was identified as the sub-implementing party and provider in charge of delivering the training (Resolution No 52 of 20 January 2023).
As at 31 December 2024, the number of healthcare professionals who have been trained in the field of hospital infections with a total of 15 hours of training is 1757, of which 360 are medical managers and 1397 are professionals in the area of the sector.
