Towards a safe and sustainable hospital

This investment consists of seismic upgrades in the light of the new regulatory framework on the subject. Hospitals play a strategic role, both for their fundamental function of rescuing the population and for their greater level of exposure in the event of seismic events, as they house a very large number of people with heterogeneous reaction capacities.

Specifically, this involves:

• 2 structural interventions with PNRR funds for the restructuring and seismic improvement of the Borgo Valsugana Hospital and the Perusini Pavilion in Pergine Valsugana;
• 4 structural interventions with PNC funds for the current RSA Vannetti of Rovereto and for pavilions A and B of the Arco hospital.

Improve the safety of hospital buildings by adapting them to the current standards for construction in seismic areas.

Provincialtarget: 6 interventions

The Autonomous Province of Trento, as the implementing party, uses theAzienda Provinciale per i Servizi Sanitari (APSS) as the delegated implementing party.

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

Work on the Perusini building in Pergine Valsugana (PNRR) has been completed.

Work at the Borgo Valsugana hospital (PNRR) is scheduled to begin in March 2026.

Work at the former RSA Vannetti in Rovereto (PNC) is in progress.

Work on the demolition of pavilion A1 of the Arco hospital (PNC) is scheduled to begin by the end of October 2025.
Work on the reconstruction of Pavilion A2 (PNC) is scheduled to begin by the end of January 2026.
Work on the seismic improvement of Pavilion B (PNC) is scheduled to begin by the end of November 2025.
