Strengthening of intermediate healthcare and its structures (Community Hospitals)

The Community Hospital is a healthcare facility intended for patients who, following an episode of mild acuity or relapse of chronic pathologies, require low-intensity clinical healthcare interventions that can potentially be provided at home, but need continuous nursing care and supervision, even at night, which cannot be provided at home or in the absence of suitability of the home itself (structural or family).

These are short-stay healthcare facilities equipped with 15/20-bed modules known as intermediate care facilities that perform an intermediate function between home and hospitalisation.

Community Hospitals are planned in Mezzolombardo, Ala, Pergine Valsugana and Tione.

Strengthening intermediate healthcare and its facilities, with the aim of promoting protected discharge for the functional recovery and autonomy of patients.

Provincialtarget: at least 3 Community Hospitals, renovated, interconnected and equipped with technological equipment

The Autonomous Province of Trento, as the implementing party, uses theAzienda Provinciale per i Servizi Sanitari (APSS) as the delegated implementing party.

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

Work on the Mezzolombardo and Tione Community Hospitals is completed.
Work is in progress at the Pergine Valsugana Community Hospital.
The works at the Ala Community Hospital are nearing completion.
