General information

Rural COOP has the general objective of strengthening territorial cohesion through the identification, modelling and testing of new methodologies and tools for the promotion and support of "integrated territorial development" in non-urban areas.

To achieve the project's main objective, Rural COOP envisages the following activities

analysing the experiences gained and good practices developed with reference to participative integrated territorial development tools and the involvement of regional policy makers;

capitalise on these experiences through capacity building activities aimed at improving the organisational capacity of policy makers, structured on study visits, webinars and in-presence workshops;

improve the implementation of integrated territorial development tools, thanks to the involvement of local communities through scenario anticipation studies, with the aim of promoting the adoption of the green communities model

activate pilot actions for the experimentation and innovation of intervention tools;

concretely introduce into the various policy tools made available by the partnership, the green communities tool, according to the characteristics and assumptions identified thanks to the pilot actions;

disseminate the results achieved thanks to the actions promoted and activated.

Goals

Rural COOP intends to promote the sustainable and participative development of rural and mountain areas. The project aims to introduce the Green Communities approach into the partnership's different policy instruments through an exchange of experience on integrated territorial development and the active participation of local actors.
