General information
The general aim of the project is to strengthen the non-formal learning opportunities of
- young recent graduates (fifth-year or fourth-year vocational training diploma)
- young people attending evening courses in the fourth year of upper secondary education;
- young people aiming for a successful entry into non-academic higher education;
through the activation of on-the-job training actions, combining, according to the alternance model, classroom training and work experience, to be carried out in productive-organisational contexts both abroad and in Trentino.
The project action intends to implement the programme lines outlined in the ERASMUS + VET Mobility Charter 2016, as well as to continue/evaluate the experiences gained in 2017 and 2018 and in response to the needs of the labour market and professions. The project identifies, as recipients, 150 graduates or qualified people, who will be offered the opportunity to take part in a customised learning pathway to be carried out abroad (with a reinforcement in Trentino), in production contexts of goods and services at the cutting-edge of technology and organisation in Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and Bulgaria. At the end of the experience abroad, the possibility will be offered to participate in a second stage of apprenticeship, in this case to be carried out in Trentino, aimed at pre-employment, thanks to the enhancement of the skills acquired abroad.
The sectors of interest are those identified by the Autonomous Province of Trento as the subject of SMART SPECIALISATIONS: Agrifood, Quality of Life, Energy-Environment and Mechatronics.
Each learning project will be divided into the following 5 phases
PREPARATION FOR MOBILITY, to be held in Trento. Young people will be identified following promotion/advertising and aptitude and motivational selection. This will be followed by a training course preparatory to the linguistic and pedagogical traineeship, lasting about 2 weeks, at the sole expense of the Province.
MOBILITY ABROAD WITH PEDAGOGICAL-CULTURAL PREPARATION. The duration of the mobility may vary: 8, 12 or 16 weeks. Each company matching will be carefully tailored to the skills gap to be filled and the professional sector of interest of the participant. Young people on placement will receive an allowance, as provided for by law (paid by the Autonomous Province of Trento).
POST-MOBILITY FOLLOW UP, to be held in Trento and intended for the sharing of the different experiences and the identification, validation and certification of the skills acquired. This phase will be borne by the Province.
POST-MOBILITY PLACEMENT TO BE CARRIED OUT IN TRENTINO (OPTIONAL). It is envisaged that young people may participate in an internship in Trentino companies, normally lasting no more than 8 weeks. The trainees will receive an allowance, paid by the Province.
The pathway for the 150 learners will be accompanied by a period of targeted training abroad for 10 provincial staff members dealing with the mobility of weak or disadvantaged persons (in Sweden), lasting 1 week.
Goals
The pathways are therefore aimed at pursuing the following specific objectives
- encouraging the rapid entry of project participants into the world of work with quality profiles;
- enhancing their appropriation of new styles and behaviour in an active and activating professional context;
- to foster the birth and development of articulated, complex training "chains" with a strong value in terms of impact;
- improve participants' technical and transversal skills;
- stimulate qualification in highly specialised and particularly innovative environments;
- strengthen the participants' curriculum in terms of knowledge of a foreign language applicable in work contexts open to internationalisation;
- strengthen their technical-specific and transversal skills (in terms of adaptability, flexibility, creativity, entrepreneurship, self-innovation, etc.).
- provide certification and a portfolio of skills of European significance.
