Starting from the awareness that there are about fifty immigrant associations in Trentino, the project intends to enhance their role as social actors in the identity formation process of second-generation young people. It is proposed to organise a training course for association representatives on issues of interest to them: legal-administrative obligations, deadlines, project design, writing and presentation, fundraising, methods of communicating initiatives, etc. With the course materials, a specific guide for immigrant associations will be produced in immediately comprehensible language. It will also be publicised and disseminated via social networks and the websites of Cinformi and the Volunteer Service Centre. It is also strategic to train association representatives on the opportunities offered by the area; in particular, a good knowledge of the service network is fundamental for good social integration. It is therefore planned to organise three meetings with the officials of the main bodies in the province of Trento that relate to the economic and institutional world. At the same time, it is considered important to foster the knowledge of the immigrant associations' representatives of the historical-cultural heritage and traditions of the native community. In order to foster the psycho-social wellbeing of second-generation young people, it is planned to offer parenting support courses to the families of second-generation young people; in particular, through the involvement of immigrant associations, 8 courses of two meetings each with experts in the field will be organised. Shifting the focus to the indigenous community, the project aims to enhance immigrant associations as a place for maintaining the culture of origin and at the same time as a tool for inclusion in the host community. To this end, it is intended to inform all municipal administrations of the existence of immigrant associations by inviting all councillors for social policies in the municipalities and valley communities to a meeting with representatives of these associations.

The project aims to foster the psycho-social wellbeing of young children of immigrants in Trentino, on the one hand by enhancing the role of migrants' associations as a link between the indigenous community and foreign citizens, and on the other hand by raising the awareness of the indigenous community on the need to offer them equal opportunities
