Modernisation of the hospital’s technological and digital infrastructure – Digitalisation (ongoing projects)

The project concerned‘ongoing’ projects initially funded under Decree-Law 34/2020 and identified in the former Hospital Network Reorganisation Plan for the adaptation of provincial healthcare facilities to the management of pandemic emergencies, which were incorporated into the PNRR monitoring system.
In particular, it involved the creation of:

• 36 intensive care beds at the S. Maria del Carmine Hospital in Rovereto;
• 10 intensive care beds at the S. Chiara Hospital in Trento, with provincial funding;
• 16 semi-intensive care beds at the Valli del Noce Hospital in Cles;
• 12 semi-intensive care beds at the S. Chiara Hospital in Trento;
• 10 semi-intensive care beds at Arco Hospital;
• 5 measures relating to A&E procedures.

To improve the digitalisation of healthcare and enhance the quality of processes, whilst ensuring patient safety and the provision of high-quality services.

Provincialtarget: 46 intensive care beds and 38 semi-intensive care beds

The implementation of the PNRR in Trentino fits seamlessly within the provincial policy framework for sustainable development, in line with the policies set out in the Provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update.

PNRR funding: €15,369,036

The initiative has met its target:

• 46 intensive care beds (36 at the S. Maria del Carmine Hospital in Rovereto and 10 at the S. Chiara Hospital in Trento)
• 38 semi-intensive care beds (16 in Cles, 12 at the S. Chiara Hospital in Trento and 10 in Arco)
• 5 measures relating to A&E pathways
