Modernisation of hospital technology and digital stock - Digitalisation (ongoing projects)

Existing" projects initially financed by Decree-Law 34/2020 and identified in the former Hospital Network Reorganisation Plan for the adaptation of provincial health structures to the management of pandemic emergencies, which were included in the PNRR monitoring system.

In particular, this involves the construction of

• 36 intensive care beds at the S.Maria del Carmine Di Rovereto Hospital;
• 10 intensive care beds at the S.Chiara Hospital in Trento, with provincial funding;
• 16 semi-intensive care beds at the Valli del Noce Hospital in Cles;
• 12 semi-intensive care beds at the S.Chiara Hospital in Trento;
• 10 semi-intensive care beds at the Arco Hospital;
• 5 emergency room interventions.

The aim of the project is to improve the digitisation of healthcare and enhance the quality of processes, ensuring patient safety and the provision of high quality services.

Provincialtarget: 46 intensive care beds and 38 sub-intensive care beds

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

PNRR funding: € 15,369,036

PaT funding: € 3,960,788.26

Intensive care beds: out of 46 planned beds, 14 (Trento and Rovereto) have been activated; for the other 32 (Rovereto) work is in progress.

Semi-intensive care beds: out of 38 planned beds, 8 have been activated (Cles) and all the rest are in the process of being commissioned (8 Cles, 12 in Trento and 10 in Arco).

Emergency rooms: 4 adaptations have been completed (Trento, Rovereto, Arco, Cles) and the works for the expansion and reorganisation of the emergency room of the Cavalese hospital, which were completed in July 2024, are being tested.
