Management training courses

Scientific progress and technological innovation require that healthcare workers are regularly updated and trained to ensure the effectiveness, adequacy, safety and efficiency of the care provided by the National Health System (NHS). This need was also evident during the pandemic crisis. In this context, the investment prepares senior staff to face current and future challenges in an integrated, sustainable, innovative, flexible and always result-oriented perspective.

The objective of the investment is to set up a training course aimed at managers and middle managers of the National Healthcare Service Companies and Bodies, to enable them to acquire the managerial and digital skills and abilities needed to face current and future challenges in a sustainable, innovative, flexible and result-oriented perspective, to manage new models of territorial care and to exploit digital and technological innovations (telemedicine, Electronic Health File, etc.).

Provincial target: 40 trainees among the senior staff of the Provincial Health Services Agency

The Autonomous Province of Trento is the beneficiary.
AGENAS (National Agency for Regional Health Services) is the intermediate body.

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

In 2023, the notice for enrolment in the course for managers and middle managers of the Provincial Health System to be held in Trento was approved. A commission for the evaluation of enrolment applications (established by resolution no. 1530 of 18 August 2023) identified the list of eligible participants. The University of Trento was identified as the Training Body and the Deed of Obligation between the Autonomous Province of Trento and Agenas was approved (resolution no. 1664 of 15 September 2023, amended by resolution no. 1728 of 22 September 2023). The name of the APSS manager to be involved in the "Pilot Course" organised in Rome (July 2023) was notified to Agenas. With the determination of 22 December 2023, the list of training participants was approved. Finally, the agreement between the Province and the University of Trento for the management of the training and the relative training programme was approved. By Resolution No. 1937 of 29 November 2024, the Commission for the Final Examination was established.

In December 2024 the 1st edition was completed and 23 professionals were trained.
The June 2025 target was reached (50% of professionals trained) and the APSS manager of the AGENAS course was trained.

In May 2025, the 2nd edition started and will be completed in December 2025.
