Mail Stations

The project envisages the renovation of two service centres, already used to provide services for primary needs and essential services, and the provision - also thanks to integration with the entire network of services in the area - not only of a limited night shelter, but also of orientation services, taking charge and accompaniment paths functional to the health, economic, family and work status of the homeless in order to foster their growth and social integration process.

In particular, the following actions will be implemented

• Redevelopment of a building owned by the municipality of Rovereto (the 'Il Portico' building);
• redevelopment of a building owned by the municipality of Trento (the 'Meeting Point' building);
• a grant for the management of the Service Centre for Adults (to the body ranked first on the list, following a comparative procedure).

The two Service Centre sites, by expanding and integrating the current offer, will be the points of reception and provision of services and interventions more widely distributed throughout the territory, integrated with each other and with the territory.

They will represent places of aggregation but also of direction of individual pathways in which the link and connection with social and health services will be fostered, favouring the taking in charge of people.

An increase in the number of people taken in charge by the network of services and the improvement of territorial governance are expected, as well as the integration and connection between the various services, in particular with the health services.

Providing protection and support to persons in a state of severe material deprivation, homelessness or extreme marginality by means of taking charge, orientation and accompaniment paths functional to the health, economic and family status of the homeless person.

Target: at least 88 beneficiaries taken in charge (out of 28,000 nationwide foreseen) and setting up of 2 poles (out of 250 nationwide foreseen).

Local implementing bodies as property owners: Municipalities of Trento and Rovereto

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

PNRR funding: € 1,090,000

With the Directorate Decree of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies no. 98 of 9 May 2022, the lists of the projects of the Ambiti Sociali Territoriali (single area for the Province of Trento) were approved.

In addition, the Notice for the granting of contributions for the management of Service Centres for Adults, Community Homes and Integrated Community Homes in the low threshold area was approved, which also regulates the granting and disbursement of contributions for the management of the Service Centres' activities envisaged by the project (Resolution no. 1998 of 4 November 2022). An agreement was also signed between the Province and the Municipalities of Trento and Rovereto for the implementation of the sub-investment (Resolution no. 1663 of 15 September 2023).

All restructuring/renovation work has been started.
