General information
KID_ACTIONS aims at combating cyberbullying among children and adolescents through education and an interactive approach based on gamification, within formal and non-formal learning contexts at EU level. The project supports teachers, educators and youth centre workers in promoting the effectiveness and efficiency of education on the risks and effects of cyberbullying by raising awareness among secondary school students and youth centres and encouraging victims to report their experiences.
Regarding the expected impact, KID_ACTIONS:
- enables young people to recognise and react effectively to cyberbullying through a digital education platform that includes an advanced social media monitoring system and educational tools based on a 'gameful education' approach, as well as tailor-made educational toolkits, which will be co-created and tested by more than 1,000 children and teenagers with their educators in 10 European countries. This will encourage victims of cyberbullying incidents to tell their experiences;
- foster a broader dialogue with education stakeholders in order to adopt a co-creative and evidence-based approach to prevent and combat cyberbullying through education and strengthen cross-border coalition building through the KID_ACTIONS Lab.
Goals
The expected results are:
● improved awareness on cyberbullying through the KID_ACTIONS digital education platform;
● increased efficiency and effectiveness of actions by PAs, NGOs, educational staff, children and adolescents in dealing with cyberbullying;
● protection of victims and facilitation of reporting;
● strengthening cooperation between stakeholders;
● easier dissemination and exploitation of project solutions
