Home as the first place of care and telemedicine - Territorial Operations Centres

The Territorial Operations Centres (COT) represent an innovative organisational model that performs the function of coordinating the taking charge of the person in liaison with services and professionals involved in the various care areas, such as

• the emergency-urgency network, i.e. the network of health services to respond to emergencies and health emergencies;
• the 116117 operations centre, which will replace the current toll-free number for booking scheduled ambulance transport;
• the services and professionals involved in the various care areas, such as home care with patient tracking and monitoring, community homes and community hospitals.

The territorial operational centres are activated in Riva Del Garda, Cles, Rovereto, Trento and Pergine Valsugana and are in turn divided into 13 operational units.

There are also investments dedicated to devices to support operators and patients and to corporate interconnection.

Place and co-ordinate home services with various territorial, socio-medical and hospital services and with the emergency network.

Provincialtarget: 5 territorial operational centres, with company interconnection and devicesto support operators and patients.

The Autonomous Province of Trento, as the implementing party, uses theAzienda Provinciale per i Servizi Sanitari (APSS) as the delegated implementing party.

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

The five COTs are fully functional and have been certified by an independent engineer according to the criteria laid down by the Ministry of Health with reference to the structural organisational and technological standards of the plants.
