Innovation Research Committee - CRI

Responsibilities and functions

The five members of the Committee, including the chairperson and a member designated by the minority of the Provincial Council, are chosen from among persons of proven qualification and experience in methodological and disciplinary fields of science, technology and culture.

The current Committee was appointed by resolution No. 1487 of the Provincial Council dated 27 September 2019.

The Committee for Research and Innovation has the following competences :

- it expresses its opinion on the programmes of activities presented by the foundations within the framework of the programme agreements envisaged by Article 20 of the provincial law on research, as well as on the research and innovation projects and interventions or programmes of activities presented pursuant to Articles 21 and 21 bis of the provincial law on research

- expresses its opinion on the projects submitted for the calls provided for by Article 22 of the provincial law on research, also with regard to the compliance with the indications of each call

- expresses its opinion with respect to the initiatives presented in accordance with Articles 5 and 24 bis of Provincial Law no. 6 of 13 December 1999 (Provincial Law on incentives for enterprises); in this case, the Committee is integrated by the members of the Committee for incentives for enterprises in the composition provided for by Article 6, paragraphs 1 and 2, of these regulations

- draws up proposals for the multiannual research programme;

- expresses an opinion, for those aspects within its competence and at the request of the Provincial Council, on specific research projects or programmes of activities

- evaluates the effectiveness of the Province's overall interventions in support of the provincial research and innovation system, also with regard to the achievement of the objectives set out in the multi-annual research programme

- evaluates the results obtained by the projects that have been the subject of provincial intervention;

- submits to the Provincial Council and Council a report on the results of the evaluation activity, at the request of the Council itself and on the occasion of the approval of the multi-annual research programme or its updates.
