Responsibilities and functions
The fundamental objective of the centre is to support the woman so that she can choose what is right and practicable for her in a context that provides her with constant and competent support to increase her own safety and that of any children.
The services offered are:
- Telephone listening for information of first necessity and urgency;
- Telephone, online and/or in-person interviews;
- Psycho-social interviews for women who are experiencing or have experienced violence;
- Risk assessment;
- Information and support in recognising and assessing the consequences of violence;
- Support in recognising the dynamics characterising the aggressive behaviour of the partner and in activating personalised forms of protection;
- Information, social guidance;
- Psychological support;
- Legal support and guidance;
- Definition of the protection plan together with the woman;
- Protection of minor sons/daughters and support for parenting;
- Orientation towards economic and housing autonomy;
- Placement in a protected structure: in connection with shelter homes;
- Orientation aimed at access to territorial health services and first aid;
- Interviews with relatives, friends and acquaintances of women who suffer violence;
- Counselling to police forces, health, social and socio-medical services, counsellors, third sector organisations and other institutions;
- Dissertation consultancy;
- Training courses for operators of social and health services, law enforcement agencies, lawyers, etc.
