Provincial nature reserve - Biotope not established
Forested birch bog, a very rare and well-preserved example of a habitat. It is a vitally important biotope for the reproduction of many species of amphibians and reptiles.
The biotope is also a Special Area of Conservation and is one of the protected areas that make up the Val di Cembra Avisio Network of Reserves.
