A delegation of about fifty volunteers from the Trentino Civil Defence is expected in Rome this evening, where they will take part in logistical support and assistance operations on the occasion of the Youth Jubilee. The highlight of this event, to be held this weekend in the Tor Vergata area, will be attended by hundreds of thousands of girls and boys from all over the world, gathered to meet Pope Leo XIV. The volunteers from Trentino will operate within a national device involving a total of 650 "regional" Civil Protection operators, who will be engaged in managing the flows and outflows of participants, in supporting access for security checks and in general assistance within the event area. Coordination is entrusted to the Autonomous Province of Trento, which heads the Civil Protection Commission within the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces. The Trentino delegation, coordinated by the Civil Protection, Forestry and Fauna Department, includes volunteers from the Ana Alpine Volunteer Nuclei, Volunteer Fire Brigade, Alpine and Speleological Rescue, Red Cross and Psychologists for Peoples.
