The Roads Management Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento announces that the SP208 road, which connects Avio to San Valentino, is closed to traffic due to a landslide affecting several hairpin bends of the route (from the junction for malga Piagù at kilometre 10 to kilometre 7). The subsidence involved the Hydro Dolomiti Energia infrastructure, which conveys water from the Pra da Stua basin to a large reservoir located above the village of Avio. The presence of debris on the roadway forced the immediate blocking of traffic for safety reasons. The Avio Volunteer Fire Brigade is already on the scene, as well as the Geological Survey for a more detailed assessment of the situation.
