The second Alpine Digital Conference - DAC - took place in Trieste, Italy, on 3 and 4 May 2022. The conference was organised at the initiative of the thematic working groups of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region, Connectivity & Accessibility and Labour Market, Education & Training. This event is part of the programme of the Italian Presidency 2022 of EUSALP.
The Digital Alps Conference in Trieste was also attended by FBK President Francesco Profumo and the President of the Employment Agency Riccardo Salomone, highlighting the importance of digitalisation for all people, students, workers, citizens, in order to favour the permanence of the population in both urban and rural Alpine areas with a high and modern quality of life and services. In particular, the indication was drawn to focus on technological mountain agriculture, which integrates the most sophisticated technologies, for the rationalisation of the use of the land's primary resources. Also along these lines was the pact signed at the close of the States General of Labour between the Province and the employers' and trade union associations, aimed at strengthening worker training, in line with the technological development requirements envisaged.
