Culture Councillor Mirko Bisesti visited yesterday the main places of cultural value in the Trambileno area, Fort Pozzacchio-Werk Valmorbia and the hermitage of San Colombano.
The Autonomous Province of Trento has largely financed the redevelopment and restoration works of both monuments and, in particular, as regards the fort, the interventions made possible its opening in 2015, on the occasion of the centenary of the Great War.
Accompanying the councillor were Trambileno's mayor Maurizio Patoner, deputy mayor Loris Gasperini, municipal councillors Andrea Salvetti and Massimo Candioli, and guide Nino Del Bianco, a historical memory of the area and member of the 'Il Forte di Pozzacchio' association, which takes care of guided tours of the structure and carries out minor maintenance work, as well as maintaining the social fabric of the Pozzacchio hamlet.
After a brief stop at the small local club, where the councillor met some of the census-takers, the visit continued to the Hermitage of San Colombano, which the forthcoming restoration work, already financed by the Province, will bring back to its ancient splendour, also bringing to light some valuable frescoes.
