The snowfall that is affecting Trentino has not, for the moment, generated significant repercussions on traffic. Cleaning operations are underway by the Road Management Service, assisted in some sections by private companies entrusted with the service.
In light of the assessments carried out by the Operational Committee for Roads, the Government Commissioner Gianfranco Bernabei ordered a ban on the transit of lorries, trucks and articulated lorries with a full load mass exceeding 7.5 tonnes from km 88 of the Valsugana state road 47 in the direction of Trento until 1pm today. A number of snow barriers have been activated, including one in the municipality of Ospedaletto.
Please remember that from 15 November, it has been compulsory to travel with snow tyres or chains on board during snowfall.
We recommend moderating speed and driving with particular caution due to the slippery road surface and the presence on the roadway of snow removal vehicles and anti-icing treatments.
