   New Anffas housing community inaugurated in Tione

   Energy efficiency, redistribution and increased space. These are the main interventions carried out on the "Leonia Piovanelli and Maria Roberta Pellegrini" building, which for many years has housed the services of Anffas Trentino in Tione and which was officially handed over today after a long period of restoration work at a ceremony attended not only by the heads of the Piovanelli-Pellegrini Foundation and Anffas Trentino, but also by the Vice-President of the Province Mario Tonina, Provincial Councillor Mattia Gottardi and the Mayor of Tione Eugenio Antolini. It was a celebration for the entire community,' it was emphasised in the various speeches, 'because it shows great care for people with disabilities. 'We have not only given contributions,' said councillor Gottardi, 'but we have invested in inclusion.
   Anffas Trentino in Tione runs a socio-educational day care centre, with 23 guests, and a residential community, with 11 permanent guests and a place for respite, cared for by 23 operators belonging to different professional figures. The increase in space will make it possible to increase the number of respite places to two. Anffas Trentino took care of setting up the facility. The contribution of the families was also very significant.

    Val di Sole, bear cub found dead. Not the son of JJ4

    The carcass of a baby bear was found this afternoon in Bassa Val di Sole, near the cycle path. The animal (3-4 months old) was recovered by forestry personnel: it will be sent to the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie, which will ascertain the cause of death. It must be said that the episode has nothing to do with JJ4, whose young cubs entered their second year of life (15-16 months and about 40 kilos in weight) and are already weaned and independent. In contrast, the specimen found dead appears very small and undernourished. In this regard, experts from the Wildlife Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento report that in the first year of life, the natural mortality rate of bear cubs can exceed 75%.

    'Dialogues with minorities', yesterday the first meeting in 2023

    "Cimbro, Ladino and Mòcheno: three languages to save. Projects for the protection and promotion of Trentino's historical linguistic communities" was the theme chosen for this year's first appointment of the cycle of meetings "Dialogues with minorities", now in its third edition, which was held yesterday at the Autonomous Province of Trento building. Speakers, who developed various topics, included representatives of cultural bodies and institutions responsible for linguistic minorities, as well as representatives of the educational world and local institutions in the territories where the Ladin, Mòchena and Cimbrian minorities are present.
    The President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, brought his greetings during the proceedings, emphasising the attention paid by the Council to the issue. 'There must be a constant and continuous commitment to safeguarding minority languages and the identity of which they are an expression,' Fugatti said, 'because our autonomy has deep roots that are also based on linguistic minorities. Your work must therefore also be supported and endorsed by institutions such as the Autonomous Province of Trento.'
    President Fugatti then emphasised: 'It is right to give the community an account of your commitment and the support provided by the Province.
