The preliminary investigation underlying the decrees signed by the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, justifies the adoption of the measure of killing the dangerous bear specimens JJ4 and MJ5. This was established by the Administrative Court of Trento, with several orders filed this morning, rejecting the precautionary applications of the plaintiff associations. According to the TAR, the president's decrees - issued to protect public safety - are amply motivated. The culling measure was therefore adopted in compliance with Provincial Law 9 of 2018, the relevant guidelines, the Habitats Directive and the Pacobace, as confirmed by the opinions issued by Ispra and requested by the Province, according to the relevant regulations. Words of satisfaction are expressed by President Fugatti, who points out that the Tar's orders confirm "the goodness of the Administration's work and the correctness of the choices made in persevering with energetic action to protect the territory and the citizens who live there".
