Today the Provincial Council approved the Palliative Care Enhancement Plan, drawn up with the collaboration of the provincial coordinators, which identifies the actions to be implemented in order to reach the standards set at a national level
"In Trentino there is a coordinating body for the palliative care network, the pain therapy network and the paediatric palliative care network, which we have recently renewed. Also part of this network is the project for the new paediatric hospice in Trento, a facility that will be built between the Protontherapy Centre and the new University Hospital Pole, as part of the interventions connected with the PNRR, for which a few weeks ago we approved the Health Policy Document for planning. Here, today we are going to strengthen this Network, as envisaged by the national planning, with the goal of reaching 90% of the population concerned by 2028, and to protect patients and their families as much as possible,' these are the words of the Councillor for Health, Social Policies, Disability and Family, Stefania Segnana.
