   Gek Galanda promotes everyone in basketball camp

   Who if not Giacomo 'Gek' Galanda is the ideal person to explain the rules and secrets of basketball to the students who took part in the Camp in Trento's Piazza Fiera? The basketball player from Friuli, now a sports director, who in his career has distinguished himself as a forward in Pozzecco and Meneghin's Varese, in the national team where he boasts 215 convocations, but above all silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics (where he was included in the ideal quintet), gold at the European Championships in France in 1999, silver in Spain in 1997 and bronze in Sweden in 2003, had a lot of fun in the daily role of gym teacher.

   The importance of the foot and prevention to avoid injuries

   'Con il Piede Giusto' (With the Right Foot) is the title chosen for the meeting at Palazzo Geremia as part of the Sports Festival, which focused on health and in particular on the functioning and importance of the foot, not only for athletes, but also the role that prevention plays in preventing injuries. Speaking about it, interviewed by Luigi Ripamonti, were Antonella Palmisano, Olympic march champion, and Antonio Serafin, head of the podiatry service at the IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi - Sant'Ambrogio. Palmisano spoke of her ambitions for the future, which are always high and include further success at next year's Olympics.

   Trentino students discover Padel

   Trentino is an open-air gym, where all sports can be practised, from those with a long tradition to those that are enjoying recent popularity, such as padel. Once again this year, the staff of the Sports Festival set up the rectangular court in Piazza Fiera, where it was mainly the Trentino schoolchildren who had fun with the racket in hand ('padel', using the official terminology) and following the advice of the Fitp, the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation.

    Family/community nurses: Guidelines approved

    In 2020 the figure of the family/community nurse was launched in Trentino, on an experimental basis, in order to offer the Trentino population a new opportunity to deal with the health problems of people living with chronic pathologies and situations of fragility, especially in the communities furthest away from health services. They entered into service in the mountain communities of Pieve Tesino and Baselga di Piné with the primary objective of facilitating access to social and health services, promoting healthy lifestyles and prevention actions to support fragile people living with chronic pathologies. After this experimentation as well, today the Provincial Council has outlined the competences of this figure and the related training.

    933,808.18 Euro is the amount that the Provincial Council, on the proposal of the Councillor for Local Authorities, decided to allocate, by way of financing, to the "Construction of a prefabricated school as a temporary site for the Roncone school pole on p.f. 876 in C.C. Roncone in the municipality of Sella Giudicarie', work proposed by the municipality of Sella Giudicarie. The project amount is Euro 1,617,260.22, of which Euro 450,000 represent the share sustained with resources allocated in the municipal budget.
