   Italian Post Office 'cancels' football legends

   For the first time in six editions of the Festival of Sport, which is invading Trento with no less than 150 events, there was space for played sport thanks to 'La Grande Partita' (The Big Game) of football in a sold-out Briamasco stadium. Facing each other were the Festival Legends, with no less than seven world champions on the pitch, of which five Italians and two Brazilians, and the national team of Poste Italiane, coached by former Juventus player Angelo Di Livio.
   The outcome was decidedly unexpected, with success for the Poste Italiane's Gialloblù (the same colours as the Trento football team) team, which triumphed after a hard-fought match, dominated in the first of the two 30-minute periods, and decided on penalties.

   Papin, 'ball and heart of gold'

   He was a great centre forward between the 1980s and 1990s. After his triumphs with Olympique Marseille, of which he is now manager, Jean-Pierre Papin, monsieur goal, won two league titles and the Champions Cup with AC Milan and, in 1991, the Golden Ball. Because the former French footballer, who made 56 appearances for the transalpine national team and scored 30 goals, also founded the association 'Nine of Hearts' almost 30 years ago, with which he helps many families with children suffering from cerebral palsy. 'One of my daughters has this pathology,' he explains, 'but there is the possibility of progress. She, like others, has improved'.

   Mezzana, bear M90 hit. The animal wandered off into the woods

   Before dawn today, on state road 42 at Mezzana, the M90 bear was run over, which was immediately identified because it was wearing a radio collar. The motorist was unhurt. The investigations carried out by the Trentino Forestry Corps have ascertained that the animal had left the woods. Monitoring of the bear remains active.

   Today's Day in remembrance of the victims and fallen of Trentino

   The Autonomous Province of Trento, through its president, remembers 14 October by emphasising the importance of the Day in remembrance of Trentino victims and fallen soldiers, established by provincial law 11/2017 on 14 October each year.
   An anniversary that not only fulfils its function as a reminder to the civic conscience of the Trentino people so that they do not forget their roots, but also takes on a special significance in times like the ones we are currently experiencing, which are unfortunately marked by an escalation of violence and conflicts not far from us.
   Remembering the past is a difficult and sometimes painful exercise, but indispensable in order to try not to repeat mistakes that leave indelible scars.

These situations cause them great harm, they can jeopardise a career,' noted the manager from the height of his 47-year career.

    Civil Defence in discussion with teachers: 'Children must be informed in order to prevent dangers'

It was attended by representatives of the various components of the Trento Civil Protection, which, between the public sector and voluntary associations, comprises about 11,000 men and women. "The Civil Defence is all of us. And when I say 'we', I mean the entire population of Trentino," said Lorenzo Malpaga, director of the Mountain Basin Service, who coordinated the work, which was aimed in particular at school teachers.
