The Autonomous Province of Trento will honour its commitments to adjust the salaries of civil servants for the years 2022-2024 in the coming year, ensuring the recovery, even retroactively, of the levels agreed upon in the July 2023 Protocol with workers' representatives. There is in fact full awareness, on the part of the Administration, of the mechanism, due to technical and accounting reasons, that prevents an immediate disbursement of what was agreed upon. Therefore, if it is true that 2024 will start with the levels prior to the one-off, already paid in recent months, it is already foreseen that, following this, the agreed salary levels will be recovered with the payment also of the new increases for the year 2024.
The pacts with female and male civil servants, who play a crucial role in responding to the needs of the community, providing services to citizens and businesses and fostering the development of Trentino, will therefore be respected.
This is what the Provincial Council specified following the protests staged today by a specific trade union representation: in this case, it is the component that had not adhered to the agreement of 18 July 2023, an agreement that had instead been endorsed by the trade union federations and confederations to which the majority of Trentino's public employees refer.
