One hundred and seventy-four applications for grants were received and examined by the Sports Activities Office: 65 with a favourable outcome; 77 eligible but not granted a grant due to the exhaustion of available resources; 22 ineligible due to the lack of requirements established by the implementation criteria of Provincial Law no. 4 of 21 April 2016; 10 withdrawn by applicants during the preliminary investigation process.
The allocation for the financial year 2023, amounting to 97,500 euro, allowed for the funding of 45 applications (out of 83 eligible) relating to student-athletes practising team sports and then a further 20 applications (out of 59 eligible) relating to student-athletes practising individual sports.

Please note that the score for each eligible application was formed by taking into account scholastic merit and sporting merit, as established by the Provincial Council in resolution no. 1605/2022. In particular, it is the result of the following operation: (score for scholastic merit) + [0.70 x (score for sporting merit)] + [0.30 x (score for sporting merit) x (value of the diffusion index of the respective sport practised)].
Once the decision has been executed by the Budget and Accounting Service, all applicants will receive written notification of the outcome of their application as well as, in the case of beneficiary student-athletes, the forms for requesting payment of the grant awarded.
