With a measure proposed by Councillor Mario Tonina, responsible for health matters, the Provincial Council has approved the three-year training plan for provincial health system operators (1 October 2023 - 30 September 2026). The three-year plan for the training of health system operators is a fundamental planning tool: in it there are interventions to be implemented to meet the needs for qualified personnel, professional enrichment, updating, retraining and reconversion of personnel, in relation to the provincial health context and planning documents. The plan, which has been positively evaluated by the Provincial Health Council, in fact represents the programming document of the training activities that are to be carried out in the period of reference with the aim of both enhancing professionalism in the health and social-health sectors, in a multi-professional system, and of better responding to the health needs of the population and guaranteeing the functionality of the provincial health system.
"Acknowledging the indications of the Provincial Health Council,' says Councillor Tonina, 'I asked for the text to be integrated, envisaging the activation of orientation moments in secondary schools in order to make young people loyal to the health professions, and recognising a higher remuneration for those who carry out teaching activities in the nursing degree course, taking into account the commitment required of them due to the high number of students involved. An efficient healthcare service that is able to meet the needs of the community,' the councillor adds, 'cannot disregard the training of the professionals and operators who are fundamental to guaranteeing its services. This is why considerable resources are being invested for a challenging objective that also confirms the importance attributed in Trentino to a sector that is fundamental for the quality of life. The possibility of receiving adequate training is also one of the elements on which the ability of our health system to be attractive is based, an absolutely relevant issue today'.
