With the aim of facilitating families and protecting students in the delicate transition from one school cycle to the next, the Provincial Council has decided to simplify and make more functional the procedures for assessing disability for the purposes of school inclusion.
The resolution approved today at the proposal of the vice-president in charge of education, Francesca Gerosa, and endorsed by the councillor for health, Mario Tonina, updates the regulations in force on the subject, introducing important novelties in the light of the observations made by the professionals involved and the experience gained in the field since the regulations came into force.
"The simplification that we are introducing today goes in the direction of guaranteeing a full right to study and an educational system that includes the person without further burdening the burden, including the emotional one, that students and families have to bear," Vice-President Gerosa said.
"Today's measure confirms the attention and commitment that the Provincial Health Services Authority places on families and on the inclusion of fragile persons, not only from a social-health point of view, but also to guarantee the right to a full educational and training dimension of the person," explains councillor Mario Tonina.
