Today's meeting of the Provincial Council was held in the town hall of Cunevo, one of the hamlets along with Terres and Flavon in the municipality of Contà, in Val di Non.
Welcoming the president and councillors were the mayor with the administrators and municipal employees, and a large number of representatives from the community and local associations: the fire brigade, the Alpini, the hunters' association, the Pro Loco of the three villages, Circolo Ricreativo Incontro Contà, parish choirs and pastoral committees, and the Cunevo Tamburello Sports Union - whose women's team is in the B series of the Italian championship. Also present were representatives of the Contà fruit and vegetable consortium and the land improvement consortium, the Carabinieri, the Forestry Corps and the Cles local police.
The president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in thanking for the invitation, pointed out the presence of the full Council, on a day that will certainly allow all the councillors to have a greater awareness of the instances and problems of the territory. The visit, as the president further emphasised, will certainly leave a trace of the feeling that animates this community, also thanks to the significant presence of the world of volunteering and the activities carried out by associations in the area.
Among the most important issues, which the mayor of Contà also brought to attention this morning in his welcome greeting, the president mentioned the management of large carnivores, whose presence in this area is a cause for concern, and the shortage of local authority personnel.
