    Delegation from South Tyrol visiting the Protontherapy Centre

    A delegation from the Autonomous Province of Bolzano today visited the Protontherapy Centre in Trento. In addition to the Councillor for Health, the Director of the Health Department and the Director of the Health Division of the Province of Bolzano, the General Director of Apss, the Director of the Centre and the Director of Health Physics with the staff of the facility were there to welcome the Councillor for Health of the Province of Trento. The aim of the visit was to examine, with an eye to the future, some of the issues involved in the border collaboration between the two autonomous provinces and to get a closer look at the activities and potential of proton therapy.

    Redetermined minimum number of hours of school-to-work alternance activities for schools

    A new minimum hourly determination of activities, which is congruous to guarantee both the quality of the experience carried out and its effectiveness, in compliance with the aims of school-work alternation, strengthened in its orientation character. These, in short, are the objectives of the resolution approved today by the Provincial Council, at the proposal of the Vice-President. As of the 2024/2025 school year, therefore, the minimum number of hours of alternance school-to-work courses in education will be remodulated, from 400 to 250 hours in technical and professional institutes and from 200 to 150 hours in high schools, including orientation activities carried out in the last three years.

    Food Safety and Animal Health and Welfare Committee appointed

    The members of the Food Safety and Animal Health and Welfare Committee for the current term were appointed today by the Provincial Council, on the proposal of the Health and Social Policies Councillor. The Committee, at the request of the competent provincial structure, carries out consultative, investigative and supervisory activities on the official control system implemented by the APSS in the field of animal health and welfare, including pharmacovigilance and pharmacosurveillance, feed and feed safety, animal by-products and derived products, as well as food and food safety. This committee is composed of a veterinarian working for the Province, Vittorio Dorigoni, and two experts from outside the provincial administration, namely Alessandra Luisa Amorena, veterinarian, and Elisa Finco, doctor.
